SpectraPeel is a carbon assisted laser skin rejuvenation treatment which uses photochemical superficial peeling to remove excessive sebum, unplug pores, control acne as well as minimize pore size.

Enlarge pores are mostly due to sun damage, aging and the production of sebum, causing the skin to lose its elasticity. Acne and enlarge pores often go hand-in hand. Dead skin, sebum, skin oils and colonizing bacteria (Proprionibacterium acnes) clog pore openings (blackheads and whiteheads) and enlarge pore size. This safe and non-invasive skin rejuvenation procedure Is highly effective to control oily skin, unclog and minimize pores and reduce breakouts. The SpectraPeel uses a 2-step rejuvenation process to successfully treat pore size, acne scar and reduce fine wrinkles. First, the Spectra mode emits pulses that will provide photothermal energy to heat the thin layers of collagen and skin tissue. Next the Q-switch mode remove a precise and thin layer of the skin. Reduce Facial Pores:
Superficial peeling with SpectraPeel removes excessive sebum, exfoliates the upper layer of skin and unplugs pores. Carbon particles are penetrated into the pores and the laser energy is absorbed which explode these particles. This process causes the inner walls of the pores to reduce in size by the way of stimulation of collagen production. Regular treatment promotes regeneration of collagen and recovers the elasticity of the skin.

Control Inflammatory Acne:
Photothermal effect and photochemical peel effect controls the inflammation of acnes and reduces sebum production. SpectraPeel can also improve some acne scars, uneven pigmentation and poor skin texture.

An anesthetic cream is applied to the face prior the procedure. In some cases, no anaesthesia is required at all.

Generally SpectraPeel treatments take about 30 minutes. you will feel a brief heat sensation each time the laser delivers a beam of light. However, most people fine the procedure comfortable.

Most patients experience some redness which on average resolves within a few hour. You can resume work immediately after treatment with no downtime. Other than sunblock, there is no special follow-up care. You are advised to avoid the sun, use sunscreen when going outdoors.

You will see improvement after the 1st treatment. Active acne will improve and cystic or nodular acne will begin to reduce in size. After 3 or more treatment, new acne count and red spots after inflamed acnes will be reduced.

In most cases, 4 treatments repeated every 2-3 weeks is required for optimum results. Subsequent treatment at regular intervals (every 2-3 months) is recommended to maintain results.
